Closed circuit television consists of four basic components: cameras, monitors, multiplexers, and video cassette recorders.
These products can be combined for solving the security solutions for banks, retail stores, office buildings, warehouses or any area that requires monitoring for safety and security.
Cameras
Camera options include black & white and color; and standard and high resolution. Standard resolution is similar to the picture quality of a home television. High resolution provides a more detailed image.
Multiplexers
Multiplexers utilize digital video processing to provide single or multiple camera displays for live viewing.
Monitors
Monitors are available in either black & white or color, and different screen sizes. The size chosen is based on viewing distance from the monitor.
Video Cassette Recorders
Video cassette recorders used for CCTV are industrial VCR's that compress time on a
video tape for usually 24
hours or more and provide alarm recording. Alarm recording
either starts the VCR or changes time to real time during an alarm event.
